Hi Ron,
We just thought it would be nice to give you guys a bit of an update on Marvin (Marshall). He’s doing very well! Our families have all had a chance to visit and Marvin has made quite an impression. Everyone he meets seems to be impressed with his looks and we field an awful lot of questions during our walks about what a Bernedoodle is! Even at his first visit to the vet, the doctor hadn’t seen one like him and he was huge hit with her and her staff. Marvin is strong and healthy, and expected to grow into the 70-75 pound range (he seems to be getting taller by the day). His coat is also becoming somewhat curlier and he’s just now losing some of his puppy teeth.
What we enjoy most about him would have to be his easy going temperament. What a good dog! He’s taken well to the crate training and only ever had one pee in the house in the first few days. Since then he’s been very good at letting us know when it’s time to go outside. His favourite toy might be our daughter’s soccer ball in the snow. He absolutely loves the snow and is content to come in a crash for a while at the back door when he’s done. Marv has been excellent with 5 year old Annaleigh, and the two of them have been best buds since he came home.
As far as puppies go, we feel like we’ve won the lottery with Marvin! He’s been a joy to work with and he keeps us laughing everyday. We’re still working on a few commands, but he’s very smart and incredibly friendly. Actually, we’ve only heard his bark twice when he catches a glimpse of himself in the reflection of the window! We’d be happy to keep you posted with more pictures when he’s fully grown a few months down the road, but until then here’s just a few of the many we’ve taken of our favourite subject….
Take care and thanks again,
Tom, Krista, Annaleigh & MARVIN!!!
